HOLY S&*T!!!

Never seen those before though. They must be way rare. Pretty damn cool too.

There's a lengthy thread on the manifolds over at Moparts, the buyer is going to put them in an original Max Wedge '64 plymouth.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

Thank goodness. That's the only place they belong at that price.

Yes - Original style are being re-popped. These are a factory "experimental" set - never used on a production Maxie. The normal max manifolds were called a "work of art" by Roger Huntington.....These are even cooler!  :2thumbs:

Ghoste

Any idea why they chose not to use them?

ACUDANUT

Man that's a unbelievable price...You could get 2-3 half way decent cars for that price....OR a 426 Hemi for 15K

Wicked72

One hell of an engine could be built for that price....But those things are BAMF! I bet they add 200lbs to the front end of the car haha

It must be nice to have that kind of money to throw around.  ::)

I would like to sell this guy my 63 426 Wedge for 15K...Better deal than those exhaust manifolds.

It's not all that uncommon for prototype parts to exit the plant once the decison has been made to abandon the project. Thankfully some small run  and/or prototype pieces do exist today because of it. These manifolds , or the 1/4 scale charger 500 windtunnel model is a good example. SOMEBODY thought it was neat and decided to keep them for usually for nothing more than they were neat or part of a project he/she worked on during there career.

HOW they exit is a whole nudder story,
