MSD 6520 mounting questions

I just bought an MSD 6520 Digital 6 ignition box and looking for a place to mount it on my 69 Charger RT with a bigblock and  AC as some of you know there isn't alot of places to mount this unit, between the bigger radiator and condensor, hoses and vacuum can for the headlights under the battery tray, and under the dash its pretty well filled up AC stuff, I was thinking about mounting it in front of the radiator  just behind the liceanse plate as thats where I have my chrysler electronic box mounted, it gets a lot of air but is out of the way so you really don't even notice it. Somebody told me you don't want the MSD box to get wet especially with the dial controls for the rev limiters and such, would that be a bad place to mount it? I read in the instructions and it doesn't say to avoid getting the unit wet but it says to avoid high heat areas. What are you thoughts?

If you want to keep it away from heat and moisture the only place to mount it is somewhere in the car. I'm running a 6AL and its mounted inside on the passenger side back of firewall, but I guess that would be a little to tight to make adjustments. My cousin removed his cardboard box in his glovebox and made a special bracket and mounted it on the one side of the glovebox just enough room to put your hand inside to make adjustments, or you can try mounting it under the passenger seat, if they make an extension wire long enough.

Here is where I hid mine. I have the older 6al, but my dads 68 has the newer one and his is mounted in the same place.

Mine is mounted on the heater box inside the car.

I ended up mounting it in the glove box area now I just have to finish running the wires, looks like it should work pretty good.

I mounted mine on the rad cradle near the battery tray.  It doesn't sound like the ideal spot but I did duct air to it and I can get at it easily enough.

how about hidden upsidedown under the battery tray? maybe a flip out hinge to make adjustments?  throw some air ducting at it?

Only if you are rid of the vacuum canister.

There is another reason not to use that spot.  I totally forgot about the canister, I was just thinking about the space between the tray and block.  You should look to a different location rt green, it'll make your life a lot easier.
