new stroker build 520ci:
1968 440
440 source crank 4.375
eagle rods 7.100
JE dish pistons 10.5-1 comp
indy ez heads MW open by porter racing heads
indy dual intake MW open by porter racing
comp cam xr286hr-10   112 by porter racing
it will be on the dyno soon,so how much power this motor should make?

Hey George

That's a very nice combo and should be quite streetable. I like the 112 lsa cam for better street manners and easier tuning. It will have a wicked flat torque curve and make power everywhere.  :icon_smile_big:  If I had to put a number on it i'd say 650hp/650tq should be in the ballpark.  :2thumbs:

Looking forward to the dyno numbers  :coolgleamA:

hi Ron,
i was thinking 575 HP and 600 TQ but your numbers sound a lot better.....

firefighter3931

I think you'll be pleasantly surprised  ;)

The MW EZ's move a lot more air than the standard port RPM/Stealth casting. The ICH dual plane opened up to MW is an excellent manifold. It held it's own vs the M1 337 single plane on my 572 when we had it on the dyno. On a smaller displacement "street" stroker it is probably the better choice.  :Twocents:

It's going to be a huge jump from the last engine combo  :2thumbs:

590 HP  5600rpm
622 TQ  4100rpm
that is with:
37 total timing
jets pri 80 sec. 80
2.25 headers

Is that on Dwayne's dyno?

This is a great combo in my opinion.  Those are some good numbers too - especially if it's Dwayne's dyno.  Some might not realize how small that cam is: 236/242 @ 0.050" and less than .550" lift.  Great street stuff.  You are probably making more average hp from 3800 to 6200 rpm  (typical 1-2 shift recovery with a tight converter) than other 600 peak hp - 500 inch motors out there..

If you want to step it up in the future, I'd bet you could put another 75 hp in her with a cam swap ( and necessary valve train upgrades to support the cam swap)

500" NA, Eddy head, pump gas, exhaust manifold with 2 1/2 exhaust with tailpipes
4150 lbs with driver, 3.23 gear, stock converter
11.68 @ 120.2 mph

komninon

this is at SPEED SERvICE in Chicago.i know a bigger cam would increase the numbers , but my car is 100% street car....
i am sure is lot more power than i really need. ;)

komninon

used a spacer and 78 jets same timing
596hp
629tq
i will post the dyno paperwork soon.

Very nice George  :2thumbs:

That's going to be a fun street ride....super midrange power and still plenty of steam up top.  :icon_smile_big:

I bet it idles really smooth and will have excellent street manners  :drool5:

Congrats
