KANYE West has taken bling to a new level - he's replaced his teeth with diamonds.

The rapper, who managed to to make a fool of himself by interrupting Taylor swift's acceptance speech at the MTV video awards last year, did nothing to improve his standing when he showed off his diamond implants to US chatshow host Ellen DeGeneres, The Daily Mail reports.

He told her that a dentist had removed the bottom row of his teeth to fit the new sparklers. "I just thought that diamonds were cooler," he said.

When DeGeneres appeared sceptical and asked if he hadn't just fitted a diamond grill, he replied: "It's really my real teeth. I replaced my bottom row of teeth.

"I guess there's just certain things that rock stars are supposed to do."

The star has even posted a picture of his new teeth on Twitter.

West also revealed this week that he thought about killing himself after his embarrassing performance at the MTV awards.

At a screening of his new short film, Runaway, he said: "There were times that I contemplated suicide. I will not give up on life again. There's so many people that will never get the chance to have their voice heard. I do it for them."

On DeGeneres's show he said that the episode had forced him to think about his life, the first time he had done so since the death of his mother in 2007.

"I left America. I stopped doing music altogether. I just took some time," he told DeGeneres.

"I went to Japan just so I could get away from paparazzi altogether.

"It was time to take a break and develop more as a person, as a creator and focus more on my thoughts and my ideas and what I wanted to bring to the world."

I didn't get anything either.     I also just ran a scan after reading there was one & came up clean.

What Kayne never learned in school is that the particular compounds in your teeth are linked to certain health cycles.  Remove them and  .....

Now if he just diamond plated his teeth (only on the surface, can be done but $$$), his health would not be adversely effected and would never wear down (unless grinding with other diamonds).  He will probably do the tops too, which will mean diamonds hitting diamonds when he eats anything........
