Question on routing transmission wiring

Routing the wiring in my 72 (auto trans).
My notes indicate the wiring crosses the firewall and drops down the pass side attaches to a clip at the top of the tranny and then to the 3 prong connector.
What's got me stumped is I have a second clip that I can't figure out where it attaches.

Anyone have pics of how the wires are routed and where the clip goes?  (It's not the clip that gets bolted to the transmission).

Thanks for the help.

when I went to a pick'n'pull JY in Georgia, close to Atlanta got the chance to remove an untouched harness on a 74 and found out it had ( had because they are now on my hands LOL ), two clips attached freely to the brake lines underneath driver side what holds the wire up to get the NSS.

yes, was running allong the firewall up to passenger side firewall wiring loop/loom then crossed down the tranny housing from there to the bracket attached on brake lines I'm mentioning.

However once I tried to attach this brackets to the brake lines to run correctly the harness and they were excesivelly loosen and I was afraid they were to be missed, so run the tranny harness again like I had it, all around the brake booster, and going down to underneath the car parallel to frame rail

this is the bracket I found... two of them

I remember when I tried to remove wasn't totally easy to remove, did need some twisting, but when I tried to fit on my car they look allmost ready to miss... maybe need to bend a little bit the rear sectiong to hold tight ? ??? ( L shaped section )

I found two of them

no tranny bracket though

That's the clip.  I only have one.
Where does it attach - the firewall lip (where the tranny sits), the tranny itself?

Thanks

The bracket pictured is usually found in the hole in the "ear" that extends from the drivers side bellhousing, another rubber-coated clip is under one of the top bellhousing-to-block bolts.

Some early seventies models have a NOX switch at the speedo cable connection, these sometimes have different clips/routing.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

as stated, these ones I found them hanging from brake lines.

have no idea how would attach in other places :shruggy:
