Has any one heard of an 8 3/4 blowning up !! :scratchchin:
I think my car had that happen before I got it !! (pic's pending) :brickwall:

I've seen an old 8 3/4 housing that had some pretty nasty dents and gashes from the inside-out which I assumed was from the ring/pinion grenading.

I haven't personally but I know just enough to easily believe it's possible.  The term "bulletproof" is just a nickname, sooner or later someone will put a bigger bomb in front of it.

Like everything, they break. Chrysler didn't put Dana 60s in just because the car was too light in the rear end.  ;)
