hi
is anybody ever try to put a max wedge intake or a long ram intake under a 69 charger hood???
does it fit without cutting anything?

terrible one

I have seen a picture of a second gen with the long cross ram intake and they had to cut into the inner fenders to get it to fit ( was too wide)

Long ram in a sixties B body.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

Wow that looks awesome. Shame you'd need to cut the inner fender...
Gotta love a '69

Not all max Wedge Engines had that long extented ram intake.  I have seen plenty of 426 MW engines with the dual fours on top the intake.  My 70 Charger has a 426 Wedge with just a single Holley 750 bp carb.

mrbenou

yeah! it looks great but you have to cut the hood too...
not good for a sleeper...

By definition, long rams aren't Max Wedge, that's why they're called "long" rams.

Max Wedge is probably the most misused term in the Mopar world.

True. Wasn't it the 413 that had the long rams ?  :scratchchin:

And the 361 and 383.

I seen a 69 Charger with an engine like that once.  It was at the Chrysler Parts Warehouse car show in Brampton Ontario I believe.  Different for sure.  I don't remember seeing anything cut or boxed, at the time I thought it was weird, but now mods to the hood.

That engine would look great on a hot rod like the model t's where the engine is exposed.

I wonder how well a supercharger like a paxton or a procharger would work on that? :scratchchin:
