Well with the 4-doors the coronet would do quite well..

Ghoste

It'd be really funny except that it's likely going to happen.

I wonder what the expression on peoples faces would be, when they have their doors blown off by a taxi?
Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.  Especially if they have access to the internet.

id rather walk :P

I'm sure they'll be ordering up plenty of SRT taxi's.  They'll get the same engine as the rental fleets are buying, the cheap V6 and there won't be much door blowing.

The cars in that pic, however, are the Daytonas.  350 hp, about the same torque.

Yes, I think everyone here knows it's a photoshop.  It became conjecture about how there will soon be fleet of these things in cab service so when you talked of getting doors blown off by a taxi, I guess I mistakenly assumed you were talking about a taxi and not the photoshop pic that started this thread.  My apologies.

Well, this goes back to the "sleeper car".... Definition.... A car that is ugly and unwanted, the redheaded step child if you will, yet has enough motor to beat a good looking car.   IT IS STILL AN UGLY 4 DOOR..... Of course this is my opinion.... :P

The daytona stripes are missing.  Wonder when those will be put on there...

Exactly.  Some of the best victories I've seen are when the ugly/beater/completely ordinary looking car absolutely KILLS the other guy.  For example, a local guy with a 5.0 Mustang raced an 80s turbo Daytona.  He was talking crap, thought there was no chance in hell a FWD 4 banger would be faster than his mighty Ford V-8.  When he lost, I thought he was going to cry.

I agree, but the Fox body Mustang has quite the following, and is considered by many to be the best platform for a cheap go-fast car.

Of course, if certain marketing wizards were to pay heed to the Charger legacy, they would have learned that in it's performance glory days, the Charger nameplate was always reserved for Dodge's flagship and styling leader.  It was never meant to be a sleeper, that was the market niche for the Coronet Super Bee.

Most of the ones I've seen around town here have all been rentals.  Of course, "most", adds up to about 5 of the 8 I've seen locally.

I subscribed to Muscle Mustang back when I had one...they are EVERYWHERE and will no doubt be the replacement as the newest entry level bracket racer. A big duh as they are dirt cheap and in junkyards  ;)across the nation or CHEAP if still running.
Chevy has drooped the ball so many time the last ten years it's not even funny anymore.

I would say they already are the entry level bracket car.

They finally found the real purpose for a 4 door Charger! Good thing to have when you don't have a designegted driver! The guys who designed the 4 door Charger sure could have used one!
