Can anybody point me to any sources for vintage auto literature aside fron Faxon and Irv Bishko?

UFO

And give up my sources for finding the cool stuff.

I have lots of original brochures, anything you looking for? I'd give my stuff away if the person who wanted it paid shipping. Meaning like I have a  69 mustang brochure etc...
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

Wow I'd happily pay postage for the Mustang brouchure and a bit on top for your troubles too.
Gotta love a '69

What I am looking for is a GOOD 69 Dodge data guide and a GOOD 69 Dodge trim and upholstery selector.

My next door neighbor is a dealer of high quality literature at prices less than the big guys.   I do not think he has those books, BUT on brochures, he has very nice stuff available for most cars 50's and up.

There is a guy here in Syracuse. Not the greatest to deal with but he has A LOT of stuff.

How does his stuff look? He seems to have quite a selection. He even has a separate listing for the Canadian version of the Charger brochure. What are the differences to the U.S. Version? Mine being a original Canadian car I'm very interested.

What I mean is if someone is looking for a certain book for 100% personal reasons not to resell I would mail it to them for about ten bucks or so. You have to tell me what you have been looking for via PM. I'm not making a list etc...

I have never been to his place honestly.  When I e-mailed him to ask a question, he simply sent me a pdf of available literature, nothing more.
I have talked to (someone) there and they were very vague.  I guess they get a lot of tire kickers so I can sort of understand.  But if you run a business, you should expect that.
I have little patience for zero customer service so I never went any further.   :shruggy:

Walter Miller (autolit.com) is THE big gun in the auto literature business.  He operates a very high volume "literature mill".  He advertises everywhere.   Prices will always be on the high side.   I have ordered from Miller.   Quality was "just OK" or better.   Some poster and race program items were not dated properly.

With Miller, you will not get the knowledge and personal service of a small seller that knows his inventory and will pack it personally for you.

McLellan is generally good, but VERY expensive.    He would be an example of someone you can speak with face to face and inquire on specific pieces and condition.

Good quality auto literature is not cheap, but there are some deals that are better than others.    I am also not suggesting you can buy a perfect 69 Charger deluxe catalog for $15 anymore.

If you have a CDN car then by all means pick one up.
Don't have both versions in front of me to tell you the differences, but it's definitely worth having.
Not to mention the CDN version was produced in much lower quantities.

The U.S. versions show up once in a while.
The CDN one is a little hard to find.

You can read them for every year at the Hamtramck Registry site.

http://www.hamtramck-historical.com/library.shtml

None of that helps me though as far as wanting to physically possess a copy of my own.  :icon_smile_wink:
