All,
Need to replace the k-member on my '68. Where the heck is a good place to find a reasonable new or used one? Checked Craigslist and Ebay, nothing. Also, do they make aluminum versions and if so, does anyone have experience with them?

Thanks

They make tubular K frames. I bought some upper control arms from a Mopar salvage yard some place in Texas a few years ago. Seems to me it was called Texas Acres or something. I'm pretty sure I found them through an ad in a Mopar magazine. I'm sure they would have a good K frame.

eBay.

I bought one for $62 in the door.

Then it turned out to be a genuine T/A Challenger K, so I had to replace it again. :/

It depends on what you are looking to do with the car. You can find stock ones on ebay quite easily, just be patient. You can also get a brand new chromoly tubular k member which cuts a lot of weight off the front end, they are about $1300 last time I checked tho. Check out Mancini's Racing for those if you are interested

I have 2 or 3 spares but they would cost more to ship than to buy. I'm in Cincinnati so not exactly next door.
