WIW - Ted Janek's Fiberglass Daytona Rear Window Plug

Several years ago I bought a package deal of Daytona parts that included the rear window plug. At that time, I wasn't that interested in converting the rear window, but now I may do so & I have a Vega hatch with glass & trim. I was contemplating selling the plug since I probably wouldn't use it, but was wondering what they go for. Does anyone know?  :shruggy:

Do you mean a Vega hatch for $20?   :shruggy:

I was looking for the price of a reproduction fiberglass plug from Ted Janek.

I hope Larry (Daytonalo) sees this.

He's gonna need one to use as a pattern to make his steel plug for his next clone...

He's loaded...

So I say charge him double what it's worth.  :slap:  :nana:

I remember Larry was asking for one a while back. Before I got the Vega hatch, I offered him the use of the Janek plug for a template instead of buying one. He ever responded so I assumed he wasn't interested in it.

He was probably gone off shore basket weaving or something... :D

Might want to give him another shot at it... :shruggy:

If I were out on his boat with his women, I wouldn't have enough blood left in my brain to think properly either.  ::)

Hey there Troy, I was just wondering if anyone knew what they sell for if you bought it from Ted. Is it a $300 part, a $600 part, or perhaps even more?  :shruggy:

I didn't want to actually call Ted to ask him, but since I need 1 of the 2 fender scoops for my car I might just do that. If Larry wants to use it as a template I'd like to see him do that first before I make up my mind.

According to my 2006 price sheet, Janek was selling the plugs for $589. Last time I spoke with him, his prices had gone up about 10%. Of course, you got a better deal on it by buying it with the package.
