I agree with staying with the small block.  I owned a Challenger with a 383 and it handled like a brick compared to the 340 Challenger I have now.  What rear end do you have under it now 8 1/4 ?  If so I would look for an 8 3/4.  You can still put alot of junk in your trunk, what ever way you decide to go seriously, progress looks great. Keep up the good work.

Just ordered headers, exhaust and a mini starter    It does have an 8 1/4 . AC cars had them , non- AC had 8 3/4 . Go figure, something Dodge would do     Don't worry Tuffy, I'm on a budget , I can only go so far.

Nice to see the chally is coming along nicely.  I thought you had that more than 6 1/2 yrs.  Sheesh, here I thought I had my charger for a shorter time than anyone.  Charger is going on 10 years old this year.

I just got back from the shop. Rod has the tranny pan on. He cut of the exhaust.Fired it up with open headers.  :clapping:  He'll have the headers off today . So he can replace the oil pan gasket.

 That's like the BSG (my '71 road runner) every time i looked i had sprung a new leak or a bolt was stripped or the rubber was cracking or a spring were sagging,.. Hard to know where to begin or to stop once you get into these old Dinosurs..
