Ok vets need your help again a buddy of mine is giving me a transmission. 4 speed manual for b-body he says its  not aluminum its cast iron. He has two of them need to know what part of tranny to get number to see if it for a b-body? I also need to know numbers for 18 gear spline vs 23 and non overdrive 4 speed? He wants to give me the best out of the two of them for my car.
I am working with mopar3401 on ebay and he is going to help me with my 4 speed i want for my car he has two of them just don't take both on me lol  nice set up. Here is the ebay item number 330462067576 if anybody interested in the second 4 speed package for B-bodies has allot of mopar stuff for sale tks guys.

Well, you can count the splines. You'll need one with a long tail shaft housing that has a single shifter mount. However, the later version with dual mounts will also work on your car - it just won't be "correct". You can see the difference in tail housings between his 3 auctions (A-body has a short one, E-body/late B-body has 2 shifter mounts, and early B-body has a single mount near the front). There should be a stamped pad on the front passenger side of the trans which will help determine when it was made and, possibly, what it was installed in. There are also some casting numbers on the main case and tail housing.
