Well I've spent so much time under my car lately that I couldn't help noticing the long line of numbers stamped on the transmission and was wondering what they can tell you? Year? Model car? Anything like that? This trans isn't the original for sure so I just figured it would be interesting.

The number I got is:

PK 2892031K 2343 8382

67-68 383 trans.. could have come in an A body car (i.e. GTS dart), but also behind any plymouth, dodge or chrysler for that matter.  BUT.. the transguide shows barracuda and dart, 383 4BC in there specifically.

27 Dec 67 = 2343 and 8382 is the number of this puppy being assembled that day.
67 Plymouth Barracuda, 69 Plymouth Barracuda, 73 Charger SE, 75 D100, 80 Sno-Commander

Thanks buddy. What a coincidence it's the right year for my car.
