Hi Guys,
I am new to the site, I just found it as I have started to bring my charger back to life after sitting for 10 years. I am not doing  a full restoration, as it is just not in my budget. My trunk had some surface rust, really not too bad. I wire wheeled it all out of there but now I need to spray it.
I don't have a gun, so I need to ghetto can it. What would be my best option? I know Rustoleum makes a "automotive" enamel. Would that last for a little while? Or would I be better off using their Engine enamel, or undercoating? I want a coating that is pretty strong.
Any suggestions?

Silver R/T

I would epoxy primer it and then use 2k bedliner

Cool, thanks.
Is there a brand that you would recommend? Is this how you did yours?

Charger-Bodie

If all you did is wire wheel it there is still some rust pits etc.? Right? If so epoxy is not the way to go. Epoxy is for clean properly prepared metal. You would be better off useing chassis savor or rust bullit or some similar product.

Hello
You are correct. It is not a smooth surface. I just coated it with rust doctor, which I believe is the same as rust bullit. Any suggestions on a final coating?

Since you don't have a spray gun maybe just a rattle can color closest you can find to the original color.
