Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

Hey Guys -

Thanks so much for not only the votes with Hemmings, but for helping me out with advice, motivation when I wanted to drive this thing off a cliff, and most of all simply providing a great community to hang out in. I know I haven't been posting nearly as much as I used to, but back in Jan. I took a job as the Editor-in-Chief of an automotive blog called Ridelust.com. On average I write between 2000-3000 words per day, so posting on the site has been tough. DC.com is still however the first site that I go to every morning without fail and quite honestly, this car wouldn't have been built if I wasn't a member here as the knowledge I've gained in the last 7 years from the members has been invaluable.

I'm just glad the Daytona turn out the way that it did as it is now a truly turn keu, drive anywhere at a moments notice type of car.

Again, thanks guys - I really appreciate it.

Mike

Congrats Mike!

I generally try to stay away from bashing but, that magazine has so many mistaken "facts" (all makes) and covers so many not-muscle-at-all cars that I find it interesting that some of the readers are so up in arms about it. Granted, the magazine tends to lean more towards "restored" vs "modified" but I can point out deviations (some large) in nearly every issue that I've gotten. Perhaps this car is more of a "hot rod" (and I'd put it firmly in that category) but the magazine opened up the voting to everyone. Maybe next time they'll limit it to subscribers only (and only one vote each). When the voting first opened I wasn't real impressed with about half the cars on the ballot so my choices were limited right away.

I just read the newer comments in the Hemming's write up from the trailer queen crowd, what a bunch of babies funny they think to cancel their Sub. is the answer to letting a  modded car into Hemming's "MUSCLE MACHINES".
Namby pambies..  makes me want to hunt them down and kick their ass...  :yesnod:
