Hi, im a bit of a noob to all this, as I come from the other side of the Atlantic. I have a 1973 318 SE which has had a torsion bar break while sitting in storage  :shruggy:
As I dont have funds just now to buy new bars, I would like to know if there is any interchangability between mopars when it comes to torsion bars so I can try to find some in a Breakers yard here in the Uk.

I know it should have new ones but im not ready to start a resto yet, just want to get it off the bricks and rolling again.

Thanks

I cant give you a date, but i will be swapping the torsion bars in my car for bigger ones (hope) before the end of the year...i really cant say exactly when right now but your welcome to have my old bars for the cost of shipping, at least youll get her rolling again.

WOW I haven't seen a bar break sitting still, usually its if you hit a hole  or when the car recoils up  in a hard bounce.

Thanks for the info guys, easier to look out for several models than just 3rd Gen Chargers, here in the UK.

FLG, thanks for the offer of your old bars, may have to take you up on that if i've no joy.

Thanks

It happens.  One time I parked my '69 in the morning and then found the RF torsion bar snapped when I came out in the afternoon.

You should lock you car so people don't use the back seat while you're gone  .   :smilielol:
