As a discussion piece it probably belongs here though.  I find the vinyl top and the film history of the car a lot more interesting than the alleged Mr. Norm connection.  The fact that he signed it means nothing and the decal looks pretty new to me (could it be a repop?).  Grand Spaulding did a lot of aftermarket conversion stuff for folks so it could be legit or they may have just found the parts and did it up to look that way.  I would want to see some documetnation proving the heritage before I believed it.
That aside, it's still a cool car for the other two things.

Magnumcharger

No way it's a Norm car. Didn't he sell Dodges? And the Supercharger kits came after 1971...so it's an add on.
Giving Mr. Norm his due, it might be a dealer-add-on, but who cares? Could have just as easily been an "over the counter" purchase.

Nice Barracuda though. I was downloading pictures of it earlier today ....(at work!).

Could have been a trade in too though.

TheAutoArchaeologist

It isn't a Mr. Norm's car.  He did sell only Dodges.  But he would modify any Mopar that came in.  So it could have been modified there, but not sold.

1968 Barracuda...one of my favorite cars!!
Which is why I bought one! It's going to be my "retirement" project, when I'm out of the Airforce in a little over a year.

Tough call as to how to do it though....I love the Super Stock look, but the vintage "Street" look is great also. Then there's the ProMod business, or "XV"-look I call it.
Also, the dog-dish hubcaps are fantastic, and lately I've really begun to appreciate the full "Mag-style" wheelcovers!

As it turns out, these are the VERY SAME issues I'm dealing with for my 1968 Charger R/T!!

Vinyl top.  That's pretty rare right?

Magnumcharger

Likely a dealer installed vinyl top. The only factory installed ones I'm aware of were the targa style and the canopy style.
