Can anyone post a link or paste descriptions how to change the starter on a 73 charger with stock 440.  I'm gonna give it a shot if not too hard.  Which I'm sure it is.  I don't trust any mechanics around me.  Also where to buy a new starter.  Thanks.

Jack up front end any support with jack stands.
Disconnect neg. battery cable.
Leave ignition unlocked so you can move steering linkage if you have to.
Remove nut from stud in transmission holding upper starter ear.  11/16 I think
Remove lower bolt from starter. 5/8 I think.
Pull starter forward and out.
Discone ct main power feed and starter solenoid wires.
Lower starter to bench.

Reverse to install.

Many members, myself included have gone to the newer mini starter used on later Mopar vehicles . Lighter, cranks better, fits headers better.
Do a search if  interested.
