One fantastic car. Seller claims one-of-one because it's a Hemi with power brakes and it's white. I think it is way more significant because it was built on the last production for 1968 (Lynch Road, July 17). Seller is smart to include the fender tag (VIN rm21j8a346386).

It's very likely the last Hemi for 68, and probably the last 68 Road Runner too.  :o

Cool yes, opinions about the significance? :scratchchin: :popcrn:

I love everything about that Roadrunner. It looks so basic (white exterior, steelies with dog dishes, redline tires, black bench column shift interior) but it's sooo cool. :yesnod:

I realize I just got up and the coffee hasn't taken effect yet, but the car was painted in winter 2010. Did I miss the winter of 2010? Has the winter of 2010 come yet?  I hope so, I hate winter. Looking forward to spring.
Amazing car.  I can't get by the thought when a car is that perfect and detailed, and cost that much, and is that rare, I'll pass.  I just couldn't enjoy driving it. Nice to look at though.
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

Very nice car  :drool5:

However...   I doubt there is much significance to it being the last of the 68's other than to somebody looking to cash in.

I'm sure by July the plant was looking forward to vacation / shutdown to change up for the next model year.  They didn't get to pick and choose vacation back then.  :Twocents:

I know another Hemi RR (red with four speed) built on that date but am not home to check the VIN. I'll compare the two when I get home.

I don't know about the rarity part, at least not in terms of the Hemi world. The 68 Road Runner was one of the most popular Hemi optioned cars at around a thousand total and over 800 of those being in coupe form.  As for the white part, I don't know how many were white.  They aren't on every corner for sure but I have seen other white Hemi Road Runners before.  Now if you could prove it was the last one built for 68, you might have something there, but I don't know about 130 thousand dollars worth.  Maybe some day but not right now. :Twocents:  Without seeing it though maybe it is worth it?
Then again, things are slowly beginning to turn around and it looks by the pics to be a very well done car so maybe it represents the next vanguard of high pricing?
