Mark has lost track of his 66 hemi coronet
mah354@yahoo.com <mah354@yahoo.com>

Hi,

I used to own an original 1 of 288 66 Coronet 440 hemi
automatic. The car was originally sold in Georgia and had a
3.23 single track rear end. I put 3.55 positract in to make
it more drivable. My car was stolen from a storage facility
in NW Houston more than 15 years ago and never recovered. I
would like to post to the forum in a chance it is still in
one piece and can recover it. The engine was modified and
built in Arkansas with the help of Hale racing. When stolen
it had orange box ignition, MSD 6A and a cool can as well as
a long rotor oil pump and 12 quart aluminum pan with a pass
through hole for the drag link. In the trunk were race
headers, the original distributer and a rat roadster single
4BBL intake. If I see the car I can positively identify even
if the VIN was changed. The car had new medium blue paint
(original code) black vinyl top and new carpet and new vinyl
seat covers. Also the car had 14 inch K&N magnesium
wheels. The VIN is WH23H67614208. Last license plates were in 1992 and
numbered 011GVP.

Thanks,

Mark

Yes,there were a few Coronet models over the time they used the name but 440 was certainly one of them.

I guess he meant rat roaster. Not exactly sure the definition but I think it was the removable top piece that makes it different from other intakes. Back in the late 60's it got the nickname during the pro stock battles as it was the intake of choice due to ease of modification and the BB chevy scorn. I think the 68 Super Stock Hemis got a similar intake.

Yeah, the Rat Roaster had a removable top which allowed the option of changing the "guts" of the intake around so you could tune it for different applications.  And yes also on the big block Chevy putdown in the name.

K&N wheels? what are those? I thought they made air filters..  :scratchchin:

I think he was saying the car was a '66 Coronet 440 model Hemi car which I believe was available then. :Twocents:

That really stinks that it was stolen, some people just don't have any respect for others.
