i think you mean, 2892092; which is a '69 trans behind a 350HP 440 for chrysler, plymouth, dodge or Imperial.  2567 is the 10,000 day date which = 7 Aug 1968.

VIN shows a 1969 Chrysler New Yorker, 4 door hard top out of Jefferson Plant in Detroit, MI

Thanks RD for identifying my trans. That was one thing I really wanted to know but wasn't able to do. You were right, I did key in a wrong digit. And although the build date doesn't quite match my 1968 charger which was built 27th May, I am reasonably happy. I completely restored this car by myself (from the ground up) and am extremely happy with the result. I wanted to post a picture of it  for all to see but can't quite seem to manage it! Once I figure out how it's done you may eventually get to see my pride and joy. Once again thanks for your help.   Fred

your welcome.  i would upload the picture to a photobucket account then just link the pic in a post.  much easier as photobucket auto-resizes the pictures for easy viewing.

Thanks for your advice RD. Failing all other options I will give it a try. I do feel though that it shouldn't be so difficult to uplaod photos in the first place. IT'S EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING. :pullinghair: It has always been very straight forward and not at all  difficult with other websites I have dealt with. I NEED A DRINK!! AND I DON'T MEAN A LEMONADE!!!  Fred
