Anyone install poly suspension kit on their Charger themselves? Would it be hard to do at home, pressing in bushing and all that stuff.

I think you'd really be fighting it with that Harbor Freight deal. Not enough force. I might work for some of the stuff but not all. If I were you I'd take the items that need to be pressed in to a suspension/alignment shop and have them press it in. Or find someone with a press you can borrow. Firm Feel's shop doesn't even have a hydraulic press, well, they sort of do. They use a homemade apparatus with a bottle jack to press their stuff in and it works well. You have to be careful that you don't press the guts out of some of those bushings that require special drivers but all of them can be jerry-rigged with bolts and washers and spare parts. It workd for me anyway.

Where are you at on all this? Is the new stuff ready to be pressed in or do you have to take the old stuff out yet? Before you take the old stuff out let me know and I'll tell you how to do it so you won't take years off your life. There are some easy ways to do some of it that I learned after the fact.

I have access to arbor press at work. I still have to take out all the old stuff. Figured I'd rather do it myself than paying someone $1000 to do it.

this is the kit  used also !!  along with the press , only because i had one !!

lower control arm bush  removal ,  all i done was torch the rubber out &  chistle the bush outer shell  get vice grips on it  what ever it need to wiggle it out !! , becareful you dont nic the inner bore of the control arm !  used a press to fit the new one  , but have tool for this in kit ,
nother way is to weld a large flat washer over the bush outer shell & drive it out the a large bolt & hammer !! , carefull you dont weld the shell to the control arm

oh just a sec ,  if your fitting poly lower control arm bush  , you re use the OEM bush outer shell  , so just torch out the rubber insert :yesnod:

Wow, $1,000!? I'm in the wrong line of work. I was just talking about having them press in the tough ones like the LCA bushings and the four UCA bushings, so six total. The ball joints screw out and back in and get torqued to 125 ft. lbs. but you need a special socket for those.

As for taking out the LCA bushings, I learned a helluva good trick at Firm Feel. The inner metal and rubber come out easy but that outer metal cylinder can take years off your life trying to get it out. But if what tan top says is true it's a non issue.

I bought a stand up press from H.F and it was only like 100 bucks.
