That's Mike Flaherty from near Silver Lake, Wisconsin.  I've been to his shop multiple times to see that Daytona (it's Tom Abrahms' X9 C6R column-shift 'Tona), and what incredible fabrication work he does.  Davtona came with me one time also, and saw everything firsthand.  The guy has mad metalworking skills, believe me   :o

Great family he has too - his son (who's a little younger than my son Jonathan) is learning the metal fab trade at a young age... you should see the custom metal-skinned rocket-powered dragster they hand-made together.

Another Silver Lake resident, Norm Brandes, is the guy who built the Hemi in my R/T and also did my 2-ton truck's polysphere engine.  That's how I originally made the connection with Mike, as he did some interior work on my R/T.  At one time, Norm was looking into doing a series of shows with V8TV about engine machining & rebuilding techniques.  There is only one other mention of him on the site, so I suppose the shows or segments either weren't done or are still in process.  I had never checked out the site before, so it's neat to look at the video.

Hayes, 50, and his wife Patti live in Lockwood, Mo., where he runs his own plumbing and heating business.  He also owns a Chevelle, while his son has a Chevelle and a Dodge Daytona Charger

Lockwood is quite a haul from where I'm at - much closer to Jim McCauley.  Speaking of which, his near-twin to the Abrahms Daytona was spotted out at a car show in Carthage, MO (only a few miles from Lockwood FWIW) this past weekend.

I also had almost bought that car about 15 years ago in Alabama.....I think we were 2 to 3 thousand dollars apart with the owner at the time.
