Still happening.  Kid was in his driveway when he got hit.  I had friends in high school with those when they were bursting in flames from rearenders. They all got rid of them before the recalls.   That seems to be what everyone remembers about them Pintos but a wing car--well thats a different story  .

Its been so long since I drove my wingcar I may just be with the O.P. on this one. 

I was in the back seat of a Pinto that got plowed (buckled the roof up) from the rear and there was no fire, just another of the several bullets Ive been lucky enought to skirt.

well, I have to admit what my latest project is....




it was supposed to be a super budget deal,
but I already splurged on 15x7 8 slot amc rallys to replace the 14x6,
a rally gauge cluster with tic toc tac,
and an am fm 8 track to replace the working am radio





no Pierre Cardin interior though....



it WAS a bargain I could not pass up until I made those splurges.

I have GOT to find a 70 Charger or RR or third gen RR at the right low price running and driving SOON.

There are so many other bargains I cant pass up I am tempted to go look at a 68 buick special deluxe post coupe or a 69 Marauder x100 with a 429.

I admit, I cringe when I see weird wings on cars with no purpose-
just like I cringe when I see 22inch and bigger rims on classic cars.

so when I see a nice old car on 24inch rims and lifted and cringe and say "they outta be shot",
I dont really mean to go out and shoot them.



now some of these movies guys and festival guys crashing old cars though...
