Did you get her picture so you can start a new thread? "Hot Newspaper Columnists That Write About Chargers"   :icon_smile_big:

Dude, it was a guy....... :P

Big Lebowski

Way to go dude.  :icon_smile_big: Now that the movie trashed another 23 Generals, and put the (2 door) Charger back in the spotlight, the values of Chargers should leave orbit soon.  :icon_smile_big:
"Let me explain something to you, um i am not Mr. Lebowski, you're Mr. Lebowski. I'm the dude, so that's what you call me. That or his dudeness, or duder, or you know, el duderino if you're not into the whole brevity thing."

Put the duct tape away...   ;)

No pix of Chris's car in the article.   Just a pic of a generic General Lee.   But Chris is quoted and the 69 Registry is mentioned. :2thumbs:

I'm at work - scannerless so if somebody has access to the paper and a scanner... go ahead...

Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

Thanks for the link Brian.

I'll have to make sure my Wife doesn't see that article as I had told her the car was a good investment when I purchased it.  She now knows that I never plan on selling it but she just might try and persuade me if she thinks we could get some heavy bread for it.  I was honest with her and told her that the only way I would sell it would be to buy another one.  She says "what good is an investement if you never plan on cashing it in"?  I just winked at her!

From the article:

Giardina, of Staten Island, N.Y., paid about $4,000 for a junker seven years ago, then spent $30,000 restoring it. "I wouldn't say I'm thinking about selling it," he says. But "everything's got a price."

A thinly disguised classified ad, so Troy has to move the thread now. :smilielol:

Cool article guys.

I cant find a hard copy of the paper anywhere where I work.......gonna have to search later.

Got a call at home from someone at Inside Edition wanting to talk as well.......WTF is going on here??!!

Stretch it out Chris!  Before you know it you will be singing the Star Spangled Banner at the Mets game and going on tour with that Oriental fellow that sings about his broad who bangs him!

Well I just got about 3 minutes more of fame......Amy from Inside Edition just called me again and asked me questions about the "69 Charger General Lee craze"
She basically asked me about my take on the General Lee clone thing and I told her that I was one of the "purists" against the clones......dont get me wrong I like the clones but I wouldnt want to make one out of my car.
This is getting crazy these past few days.   Im getting emails from reporters asking if I know any one in certain areas interested in doing a story etc......
I asked Steve (Charger4404spd) if he was interested.....some woman was looking for a Charger owner in the TN area ......I forwarded her his info after he agreed and they are in contact.

Got another one today from another woman looking for someone from St Paul. MN area......

I'll go out on a limb here & assume Amy is a "she" unlike the last person you chatted with. So did you get her pic so we can start the "Hot Reporters Doing Stories on Chargers" thread?   :icon_smile_big:

You know in all acuallity, now would be the perfect time to sell ! :icon_smile_big:

The new movie may not be too great, but at least the values of our Chargers are going up again. Sure is bad for the next bunch that want to buy a 69 though.

bull

Whoever posted Chris's quote didn't post all of it so here it is in its entirety. I notice that spellcheck doesn't like the word, Giardina, for some reason. It keeps wanting to change it to Guardian.

"People who have the cars are happy, and people who don't have the cars but want them are unhappy because they're going to be harder to find," says Chris Giardina, 35, the proprietor of the fan group 1969ChargerRegistry.com.

Giardina, of Staten Island, N.Y., paid about $4,000 for a junker seven years ago, then spent $30,000 restoring it. "I wouldn't say I'm thinking about selling it," he says. But "everything's got a price."

Just had a phone interview with a USA Today reporter (Anthony Breznican) about my Charger and the effects of the new DOH movie coming out on its value.
Asked me why I liked my car, how long have I had it, do I like General Lee clones etc.

Put in a nice plug for our site as well

Update!!!  Mr. Breznican emailed me back and he said the article will run in Wednesday's paper now......

Sounds like you do have an in with this reporter, maybe you could email him back and tell him to do an article on the new Charger and what Charger owners like the guys here think of it.
