Just tracing the history of my car.

Original owner says he bought it as a "dealer demo" off the CP dealer used car lot in late 1970?   But all he could remember was "Clean Auto Sales".    Usually, that's the name of the used car lot and not the actual dealershiop name.

Any help is appreciated.

Clean Auto Sales was in fact a New car Chrysler Plymouth dealer. I was there years ago, when they had 2 birds and a charger 500 in the barn across the street.
500 was painted up like a general lee.
one bird was Blue, ( B5 I think )
2nd bird was yellow and had a nose cone FILLED will bondo from a previous wreck repair gonebad
I believe all were 440 4bbl cars, all gone long ago btw.

Last time I was down there ( at least 10-15 years ago) it was still named the same but was just a used car dealer

Gosh, thanks Bill

I grew up in Georgetown, KY and Lexington, KY - and my dad bought a 64 Fairlane Ford over in Cynthiana.   My mom grew up there and in high school worked at "Bianca's" diner.  (I think that is the correct spelling).

I wonder if the Blue Bird was my "Corporate Blue" one.   Danny Gregory (who now lives in Sadieville) - but lived in Deep Springs Subdivision on the north side of Lexington in 1970 - is who was the original owner.

Thats been to long. I think it was B5, but corporate blue is possibile. I heard it went to and then saw a blue one advertised in the local wheeler dealer  maybe 2 years later in Cincinnatti Oh,and assume it was the same car then vanished after that. Last I heard the yellow Bird went down near Louisville.then vanished and i have no idea when the 500 sold or where it went

There used to be a limelight 1970 Bee V-code car in Sadeiville years ago and I often wondered what ever happend to it

In my group of Mopar Maniacs - we have that one.   Chris Brown owns it now.  Motor was gone but he has the shell.

We also bought and sold 69 white with black stripes Hemi GTX body we bought ought of Sadieville circa 1982.   And also out toward Alberta there used to be a 70 4406 Cuda that they had welded on fender flares - pretty trashed out car (and I don't know what happened to it).

My grandparents used to live in Sadieville so I know that area pretty well.

My car went from Cynthiana (so maybe it was a third Superbird) to Deep Springs subdivision in Lexington KY (with the afore mentioned Danny Gregory).  I used to ride my bicycle past the car and admire it.   The original owner painted the wing raspberry metallic (and important point later on).

Then in 1972 it was stolen by some 16 year old kids who intended to part it out - and the first part they sold was a raspberry purple wing that a guy stock on his Cuda and drove around town with!!!!   About a day later the original "Bird owner saw the wing - called the cops - and they recovered the car (now in pieces).

He settled for $1,000 and all the pieces from the insurance company with the intention to put it back together.

In 1983 I bought it (still in pieces for $2,500) and reassembled/restored it.   That's why its only got $35K miles on it now.
