I Just brought this tank home to the fleet and it is cool! :icon_smile_big: I haven't seen many of them and definitely not in a 4 speed. Does any one know the production numbers? I've looked all over and can't seem to find too much information on them. It's a 318 by the way. Thanks guys!

:2thumbs: I have my eye on one that is here in town. Not sure if its a 4 speed or a auto , but they dont want that much for it. So we will have to see what the boss says.

Get it and pay for it later/ask forgiveness. What year is the one you're looking at? Oh and nice Charger by the way. :coolgleamA:

Thanks, Ive been lurking on there a while and learned quite a bit about the t-case and Dana 44 setup and maintenance, but I didn't know if any members on here happened to have some production numbers.

sorry,no pics. we were on the way to town and the road went under a train rail but the draining was bad there so all the water would collect there. i didnt want to turn around and really didnt think it was gona get that deep. so every one was out of their cars looking at the water and i just decided to go on through. it got pretty deep figuring that it was a 4x4 like this one.was in water just going over the front of the hood for about 30 feet. people laughed when they seen me come out of the puddle. :2thumbs:

You guys need to check the GSA Auction sight. All manner of old 4x4 being sold all over the country cheap!  :Twocents: Lots of really cool ones from Parks Service if your out that way.

My brother in law has one. I think it is an 81 but the 4 wheel drive went out, something in the front of course. 318 auto like most of them and looks a lot like the one you have just rustier. He owes the wife some money....I should ask her to see if her brother will turn Ramcharger over to clear his debt.

I had a 79 SE, used to take the top and doors off every spring. Gave it to my buddy cuz he was hurtin for cash and he sold it for $1000 and wort every penny

I thought about buying one two years ago, but it looked like a homeless person was living in the back. Only 900 dollars though. Maybe I should have picked it up anyway. Good looking vehicle, and the 4spd is awesome!

Cool ride  :2thumbs: I could've bought a '78 Plymouth Trailduster 4x4 for $1200 a couple of years ago....sometimes wished I would have bought it.

Thanks guys, I dont know of many pop top Ramchargers that have less rust than this one.  When I take the top off and lower the tailgate, the passenger side will move a good inch and a half outward, but I've got the cure (a donor back end that is rust free except for the size of a nickel in the wheel well area).

Could be as simple as the vaccum line has rotted for the CAD system? :shruggy: Or maybe those were on 82 and later 4wds.
