How do I install 73-74 B-body driver's remote mirror?

I've got all the corret parts. The mirror, gasket, metal retainer clip, and bezel. I've got it installed on the door but how do I route the remote cables so it won't interfere with the window glass going up and down? I've looked and can't figure out how to route it?

wires have a couple of plastic clips... one of them clips to the front of the door, close to hinge area. The other one at a side, around 5" from the joystick provision.

I saw that hole near the hinges and saw two holes near the joystick. So the cables will go around the front of the glass and then behind it? Are the cables going to be tight when they are clipped right or will there be slack?

not tight, just routed.

yes, front and then behind... the front clip is REALLY HARD TO GET IT IN PLACE!

I got it on. My front clip was broken so it wouldn't even work. There was an extra clip still in my door that went to nothing near the regulator so I took it out and cut it. Hopefully, the cut is so fine the wires won't slip out on the front of the door. I will have to remove it all when I take it to get painted. I plan on getting new mirrors, hopefully they already have the clips on.
