I bought a complete kit for the weatherstripping and felt kit and the felt kit  it came with came with these clips already attached along with some extra screws. Are you supposed to take the clips off or is there something i am not understanding how to install them cause there is no way to clip them in

remove door panel removing glass also helps, unclip old felts from slots in door and gently place new felts into place and snap them down and reassemble. do not remove clips from felts as they are made into the part itself and be gentle with them as they bend easily.

Have you already removed your existing weatherstripping?

Well i started with the rear panels in the back the ones that go over the panel in the back and have no idea how to replace those cause the original ones were stapled in I remove the staples but there is no way to clip it in. There where some screws supplied but if i were to use the screws would i have to remove the clips or do i leave them on

They are fairly simple to install, actually. The fronts are almost self-explanatory. Your old windowfelts will have the same clips in them as the repros.

FRONTS: Remove the old ones. You may have to remove the glass and upper door panel pad to do this. Not a fun job. Start installing the new piece working from one end of the windowfelt to the other. You may have to "tweak" the tab on the new clips with a small screwdriver to get them to catch, I've had to do that before. Work your way down the windowfelt until it is installed. Both the inner & outers install the same way on the doors. Be VERY careful, because if you need to pull it out again there is a good chance you'll kink it.

REARS: The outers install the same way as the ones on the doors. You'll need to remove the rear seat, trim panels, and 1/4 glass. Clip them in as you did the fronts. The inners are a completely different animal. As you've noticed, they are stapled to the trim pad. Remove the old ones by undoing the staples. The new ones won't install with clips. That's why they give you little sheetmetal screws. You should have 2 pieces of rear windowfelts with no clips on them, those are the inners. You basically mark & drill holes, and screw them on. Temporarily attach the new windowfelt to the pad (stationary spring clamps, clothespins, whatever), & drill holes for the screws. Paint the screws flat black so they are less noticeable. OR... the right way. Make new staples out of heavy gauge wire. Temporarily attach the new windowfelt to the pad like before (stationary spring clamps, clothespins, whatever). Mark the staple holes from the backside. Remove the windowfelt, & drill new holes for the staples. Clamp the windowfelt back on to hold it tight, & insert your new staples & bend them tight on the backside.

Just wondering, your new kit came with DIRECTIONS, didn't it??  :scratchchin:
Good luck!  :2thumbs:

yes the kit did come with instructions. The only problem is that the rears came with clips on them and none of them came with out so this is why i was a little confused. I took one clip off but it is not easy cause its real easy to damage the felt strip
