Wow, that's REALLY cheap considering prices up here! You could buy 1/2 the house here for $220,000 and your still looking at a ton of work....

It would still be close to $400K here I bet, and no one would be looking at it. Actually, he says it's on a 1+ acre lot so it'd probably be priced at $600k up here, and no one would be looking at it.

OMFG, that is just crazy cheap.  You sure this isn't some Nigerian scam & you've taken over A34's username.

Is the housing market really that much different there?  Even now, if that place was up here it wouldn't last a day.  Hell for that matter, list it in the morning & it'd sell by lunch.
