motorhome engine removal

   I recently bought a 440 engine that is still in a motorhome. The deal is that I can do what is necessary to remove it as the motorhome is being scrapped. Does anyone else have experience doing this? What would be the easiest way- out the top, out the front, or drop it out from the bottom?  The front axle must stay in so it can be towed to the yard.

most vans are easiest to take out the front.  seeing that it is getting junked,  i`d speed up the process with a sawzall and remove whatever is in the way real quick.

I'm pulling one from a 68 dodge motohome that's going to wreckers. SO, my sawzall and I are going to town!!!!!! Just cut the cab off...Should take me about 45 min. to an hour or so.............. Good luck.....   CHUCK..................................

yes i totally agree...   gotten engine out of the junkyard that way a few times
