1956 New yorker (pics)

Ive injected the mopar venom into another friend! My boss's husband has just started down the road of restoring his dad's 56 New Yorker.
Pretty sweet car, 66,000 original miles with only 3500 put on in the 20 years his dad has had it. It's also got the ?354? hemi in it. Im not too familiar with the early hemi engines. It's running and driving and shows no signs of leaks or any major mechanical issues!  
Anyway, Im trying to get some information on it for him. The vin he gave me is 1N5619288 but I'm not sure where the best place to look that up is? It does have some rust issues in the quarters and the trunk but according to him they've only appeared in the past 5 years. The car is still in transport to California so I have yet to see it in person. From the pictures I know the trunk gone. Is anyone reproducing metal for this car or is it going to be all custom?? What do you guys think?

That car rocks!!!  if its not rusting out I wouold leave it alone. Looks to be in pretty good shape. they are only original once!

That car is pretty sweet just the way it is. Unless the rust is a lot worse than we can see in those pics, I'd enjoy it as is!
