What is the correct position for the sail cardboard? Behind the metal rail or in front of the metal rail?

On my 69 its in front of the rail.

I did the headliner myself. Its not that bad. I took my time...i think about two weeks.

My headliner came out sweet. The only part that looks fair, is the rear sail panel. There is no cardboard, and i cut the fabric too short!
