anyone do this and paint the roof? Any suggestions?

I removed the VT from my car earlier this year. Its not hard, just be patient. Pull all the VT check molding off and the rain gutter trim. Then start pulling the material off, much of it will come off in sheets. Get some 3M adhesive remover and razor blades/holder to scrape the old glue off. I put a rivit through my razor blade holder to keep it from retracting under pressure. After all the VT is off work a small section at a time with the 3M stuff and razor. Be very careful......count your fingers before and after the job, if the number is the same your good to go!!!
I didn't paint my roof, I had the body shop do it before the new top was installed. Keep us osted and good luck

well I got it off and sanded it. I am gonna get a body shop to finish it. This is not the original top.
after the top was removed




sanding, then taping then primer. It is temporary till I can get it to a shop.
