P bright red

I did not want to worry at all about clearance problems, most people with 15x10's have them.
I run 15x8's lots of room no worries.

Any more pictures on that one??

Are you going with stock ride height or are you willing to jack up the rear a little?

With 15x10s, You must use at least 5-5.5" of backspacing. Measure both inside and fenderwell clearance carefully.

We know that 15x8s with 4.5" of backspacing and 275x60x15 tires works everytime on the rear-with no mods.

Hey 8wheeler, is your car carrying 15x8's all the way around or just on the rear?

8WHEELER

15x7 front the 15x8 were a bit to close with the car so low. I have 15x8 rear with 275 60x15,
4in back spacing works well under any conditions, evan lowered 1-1/2in in the rear as I did with mine.

I never get tired of looking at Dan's car.  There may be another red '68 out there, but it won't compare to his. :2thumbs:

Mine was origionally a 383 2bbl built 5 August 1967,pp1 Red,It is now a pink rainbow colour with centrelines and a 1967 440
Thanks for the photos Dan.Its got to be magnums I think. They go so well with the Red, but still not sure if to go 10X15s on the rear.I dont want to jack it up with the air shocks
How did you get the car so low at the rear?
Did you just wind down the Torsion bar to lower the front?,If so does it affect the geometry?

Yes I lowered the front 2in with the Torsion Bars, then did another front end alignment, drives great.
I put in 1-1/2in lowering blocks I made on the rear in 1979 never had a problem. Don't use air shocks,
they will bust up your upper cross member where they bolt up, I have seen it over and over.

whats wrong with that color?  :P
Daddy ran whiskey in a big black dodge
bought it at an auction at the masons lodge,
Johnson County Sherriff painted on the side,
just shot a coat of primer then he looked inside,
well him and my uncle tore that engine down,
I still remember that rumblin' sound.....

andyc

Ill tell you what is wrong with it,..........

If I were walking home in the middle of the night, following the dotted line, and Having had a skin full...........and you happen to come down that road fast and   have a battery failure............I wouldnt see or hear you and I might get squashed.
But other than that.......the only other thing I can think of is ...................that i dont have a black one, ............and that is wrong! I deserve one .....and a red one.....and a green one ...with a Hemi.....and even perhaps a little go faster wing on the back....

     Dear Santa Claus,
I hope you are well,I am fine .Please give me a nice black Hemi 6T9 Daytona for Christmas.I promise to be good next year.
        Love from......Andy C

ps would i be asking too much for a red one for my birthday next year as well?

Dan:

What size tires are you running on the front?  I just bought some 255/60-15 for the front of my GTX with 15 x 7 Mag 500's.  I have the same size rim/tire combo as yours on the rear.  Just hoping it looks OK w/ no clearance probs (pwr front disc brakes).

Dave

8WHEELER

If your car is stock height you should be OK with 255's, I run 245 60x15 on mine to clear the car
being 2in lower in the front.
