Hey, been looking at this forum door awhile & I just bought my first Charger yesterday. It's a 68 & has the orriginal 318 in it still. Gonna build a 440 stroker for it & fix the body up some. I will post up some pics soon.

I'm in Alabama, this car has been in a garage for awhile & it does need a little work but I have wanted a 2nd gen for about 22 years & this car I bought for the last 9 years.

spankmunky

Here's a few pics. I know the stripe on the back is not right for this year. The previous owner liked that stipe better & moved forward.

A few more

spankmunky

wow, all the ones i have found in a garage sure dont look like that. lol r u going to do any changes to it or are you just going to enjoy it the way u found it. very sharp. :2thumbs:

Old Greg

i'm going to enjoy this the way it is right now. I do plan to repaint it this color again & have some of the body issues fixed. I bought the car from a friend who had the work done 10 years ago & he didn't know that the shop didn't do a good job. Not to our standards anyway. I have alot of plans for this car. But her had taken good care of the car, like i said it was hardly driven & garaged the whole time.

spankmunky

if your going to show it you should bring it to some shows her in cullman, there are never any chargers and its always the same cars so u would be a guaranteed winner.

Thanks guys, I have been driving it alot in the 2 days of owning the car. I drove it all day yesterday over 4 countys. That Supra belongs to a friend of mine of 10 years. I told him i was buying a 68 Charger & wanted to get pics of both cars. You guys should havee seen some of the looks when we drove through town lol. Now i just got to get the courage to mess with 42 yr old wiring to start upgrading.

Spankmunky when is there going to be a show in your area? This coming friday they are going to have the First Friday car show in Gadsden & there is a few Mopars there but really no chargers.

Jaak how is your car coming? Would love to see more pics.
