Vinyl top color

I need some advice.  I am new to the classic car world.  I just bought a true survivor 69 Charger 440 R/T from the original owner.  My neighbor went to school with the guy so I know the history and have all the documents.  First thing on the exterior is to replace the vinyl top.  I checked with Legendary and they have an antique green material.  It doesn't look right but the top is pretty faded and I can't really tell.  The first owner said the color was dark green almost black.  Anyway I need some advice as to where I can get some information or material.  I'm not thrilled with Legendary.  They suggested the antique green which was not in stock.  Then said an NOS green one for $450.00 might be better for a survivor car.  Big difference in price, for what?  Any help I would appreciate.  I also have a dozen other questions about how far to go with repair stuff before it is no longer a survivor.

I'm pretty sure the reproduction top is NOT made out of the original vinyl so the grain and possibly color might be off. There was only one shade of green used on the tops - although it's pretty dark. The labor to put the top on is a pain so I'd recommend only doing it once. If it were my car and it was still very nice, I'd pony up the cash for the NOS top. If it were a rusty 318 without any matching numbers I'd use the repro.

For what it's worth, I think Legendary is about as close as you're going to get with reproduction parts.

Another vote to pay up for the NOS item.  It's not that much money for what it is.  (Think of what kind of money gets devoted to paintjobs.  Well that vinyl top is about 1/4th of the car's entire paint area.)  And it really helps maintain the survivor vibe of the car.  Repro parts are perfectly acceptable whey then look & function correctly but it sounds like you can't get that from the available repros in this case.
