I need some new curves in my 72 Charger leaf springs. Does anyone fix these still? I remember the old man taking some into a shop and 30 minutes later they were re-curved. Has anyone attempted to DIY?

Thanks,

Ghoste

I don't know about diy but there are still plenty of spring shops around that can do it.

There's a place near me that does it. Seems like it was $150 or so to have mine done on my 67 Charger a few years ago. They've since settled back down. I don't think there's enough of a savings between having them redone and buying a set of new springs to warrant NOT buying new springs. How much are the new super stock springs? $225?

If you can save a substantial amount of money it might be worth it. If not, just get a new pair & be done with it. Years ago nobody made new ones so a lot of people, including myself, had springs redone. I had 3 sets done over the years, 2 of which were fine, but 1 pair only lasted 3 years before sagging again. One of the pairs that turned out okay were done 25 years ago & still fine. (My 1969 Satellite Convertible) It all depends on the quality of the original steel & what it was subjected to over the years in order to be a good "re-arched" pair.

New?? I have not been able to find anyone selling them. Yes there are a ton of places claiming to sell or have them, but then you get to the website and it seems pretty shady or they don't have exact fit... Any suggestions?
