I know my 69 Plymouth Roadrunner is not a Dodge Charger, but I LOVE and previously recently owned a Sweet 1970 Charger 500 with a 440 in it, and figured you guys would help a Mopar Muscle Head brother out.

My 69 Roadrunner needs a front sway bar as it was purchased without one.  Who is the best vendor to get one from for both an oem sway bar (and hardware to install) and aftermarket sway bar (and hardware) for my Plymouth.

Thanks in advance my Mopar Brothers!

How do these aftermarket things compare to the standard front swaybar my 69 Charger has?
And is there really eough difference to upgrade to a non standard one?
Same question regarding fitting up a rear swaybar where mine doesnt already have one.... as far as I know anyway

The factory front end swaybar was like 7/8" as I recall.  A 1.25" bar would be a much stiffer deal.  Much stiffer.

As for the rear, an added swaybar is good but you really don't need to get big with it.  The placement of the car's torsion bars & leaf springs are set up to give it a stiffer roll resistance in the back without any swaybars at either end.  So even a small rear swaybar functions like a pretty decent sized one.

The aftermarket bars are an imrpovement over stock because of the size. Stock is .875 or .937. Most commonly available aftermarket front bar is 1.125. This provides a significant improvement in roll resistance.

They are worth a ton. They will bring your car 30 years up in suspension technology.

What do they cost? As littl eas $150 for the more generic units from Addco, Hellwig, SUmmit and up to around $300 for more custom fit, OEM look, or adjustable units from Firm Feel or Hotchkis.
