Xbox and Xbox 360 ?

I need a crash course on the Xbox and the Xbox 360? 
Is the xbox the old model with its own games or do the games all play on xbox and 360?
What hardware does the xbox have compared to the 360?

Basicly the Xbox 360 base model will NOT play Xbox titles, the Hard drive unit is loaded with Emulator software making the Full blown Xbox 360 able to run SOME (not all) Xbox titles.
the Xbox 360 uses different processors and as time goes buy will be recieving a hardware upgrade (that is why im waiting on the 2nd version of Xbox360)
Also the current 360's have a lot of issues with them that are being addressed by Microsoft ready for wave 2. so I say, if you CAN wait, then do so !!

im gonna wait for the PS3.

As long as they keep coming out with new GTA games, im gonna be a PS loyalist.
Im not a gamer, so it makes no sense for me to own both.

I am waiting for the PS3 as well , my friends thinking about getting a Xbox 360  so I can get the best of both worlds since were gonnna trade every few months.

Thanks for the info. I am getting a free   XBOX  and I didnt know anything about them. Didnt know what was what on them.

Leave it to Microsoft and Gates to screw the consumer... WHy couldn't they make it backwards compatable like the PS2 and PS3?.The PS3 will also be faster, have higher resolution, will have blue tooth (wireless) built in, and it will be able to play any format of CD/DVD out there (Blue Ray, double sided, double density technology) Unfortunately it probably won't have the ultra hi tech "freeze up in the middle of the game" option that the Xbox 360 does....LOL What I find kind of amusing is how Microsoft RACED to be out on the shelves first (before Christmas AND before PS3) and screwed themselves in the process. And Bill Gates is supposed to be some kind of genius?...priceless.
