Sail cardboard position

What is the correct position for the sail cardboard? Behind the metal rail or in front of the metal rail?

On my 69 its in front of the rail.

I was about to ask the same question----Im thinking about putting in my headliner myself...

I did the headliner myself. Its not that bad. I took my time...i think about two weeks.

My headliner came out sweet. The only part that looks fair, is the rear sail panel. There is no cardboard, and i cut the fabric too short!
