First off I'm not sure where this post would fit in at so mod's if I post it in the wrong zone please move it to the correct place please.

Okay, how would you feel if you was told by a friend of yours that you should keep a eye on your charger as it might turn up missing one of these days? I was told that yesterday by a good friend of mine, because I haven't work to much this year on my charger as I need to find a good welding machine. He wants the charger for get this a demo car! That is all he thinks of is demos  :icon_smile_dissapprove:. He said the car would look nice out on a demo derby track. His brother has a project car also (a firebird) and I wonder if he has ever thought about using his brothers car for a demo car. Each time I run into my friend he always ask me when am I going to give him the charger for a demo car. I wonder what all his friends would think if I told them what his plans are with a classic car  :D  :scratchchin:. I bet he would loose afew friends real fast as they are some what into classic cars them self's.

I also always keep hearing "your not ever going to get that thing on the road, so why don't you give it to me for demo car". Well like I told him yesterday that I started to make a list of local people (friends and relatives) that has said that about me not ever going to get the charger on the road so when I do..  :D and I'm going to pay them alittle visit with the charger. So far I have around 5 well make that 6 names on the list.

What you should do Jim is, get a truck and move/hide the Charger and then go to your friend and ask him what the hell he did with your car (act as if it were stolen). Then threaten him with the cops. Make sure you video tape his expression

Yea, tell me about it. My one cousin said the same thing also back in the summer and also last year as well. Like I said when I get the charger done I will be making a friendly trip to each person place to visit them for alittle while.

I even had one young boy stop in not long ago with his girlfriend. he was in a rice burner and fart can. He stop in to check out the car an at first I thought he was going to say something about why do I have a car like a charger for. BUT to my surprise he didn't and yet wanted to look at it as he had the muscle car bug growing on him sense he seen my car when he went up and down past my place and his girlfriend said he been wanting to stop in to look at the car close up. He even knew what the car was but the year threw him off though.. I told him about the site here. But when I told him about what some of the people said about that I should junk the car or give it to them for a demo car he look at me and ask why and then said I should get it fix back up and back on the road. Now this came from a young man that was into ricers and was looking to get into the muscle car world.

Well this friend is a far out cousin of mine. One of three brothers to be honest.. one is upstate right now for something really stupid (it was nothing to do with fighten either). His other brother the one that has the firebird's wonders I think about him also at times and at times even him and his brother doesn't get along. My far out cousin just doesn't understand the classic cars and muscle cars I don't think. yesterday I was going to say something but I just bit my tug and left it kinda go really as I thought there was no use in arguing with him.  :shruggy:

But like I thought though, if the car ever does go missing, I will go to the cops and tell them and I will also reveal his name so you all know who to look out for. I don't think my far out cousin understand that there is wide base of old charger fans out there. And for them to hear he wanted to use a old charger for demo derby car would go over very well.

I did pick you  for a new friend when I join up on the club here so why are you my old friend?  :-\

Alot of the younger adults are now starting to talk to me anymore because of the charger as they want to learn about the old american muscle cars from back in the day as I understand it they have only seen compact cars and and drive rice burners mostly and not really been around much of full size cars unless they are at the demo derby's. I can just think how it will be when the charger is finish and on the road and the younger adults sees it.

Okay, I wasn't to clear, my fault on that. My charger does have a rear end in it but the car doesn't have now quarter skins on though or truck floor either. The leafs and rear end is under the car and some what bolted in place. But the rear portions of the car is not on the car though as in skins and things are hardly bolted in yet. BUT knowing my friend he would know guys that can hook onto the car and yank it out from where it is from. remember this guy doesn't care to much for a classic vehicle as he wants to demo them.

Most of the time I would take what he says as a joke BUT the way he said it yesterday didn't even come close to sounding like a joke though, he look at the car when he said it and his tone in his voice wasn't a joking voice either as it was a tone of being serious. And he is starting to have a back ground for certain things anymore also  :shruggy:

I also heard something that he did two times. I won't say where but let put it like this.. he went into a store got a shopping cart and filled it with tools and then tried to push the cart out the door! then went to another store days later and tried the same thing!

Now after knowing that, and hearing from afew people.. that is nothing to joke about!   :icon_smile_dissapprove:

Well, when he told us what he was going to do about the tools issue.. we also thought he was yanking our chain also.. but WHEN he did IT that was not yanking our chains anymore as he really did DO it.

He would always tell us how he could do this and that in afew of the stores and not get caught.. well we always thought he was only kidding around with us as in yanking our dang chains all the time. BUT after he really did the stuff and got caught over it THAT was when we started to look at him different. He as always been talking about my charger and that someday it might go missing when I'm not home.. and with the way he said it the other day to me and the tone he used.. I'm on alert now. If he does like he said he do in the stores.. I wouldn't put it past him now about the charger.

Oh this guy could get a car yes and fix up, but in afew months it wouldn't be nice anymore, as it would be all beat up and not running right and be park and for sale probably if he didn't demo it. Almost each car he has had in the past when he was done with them he would demo them if he didn't take them to scrap yard. Doesn't matter to him what kind of car it is, to him it's a demo car  ::) .

So let me get this straight...this guy comes to your neck of the woods (I'm assuming it's like Deliverance out there) and tells you in a serious tone that your car may disappear one day and basically saying he would be the one to take it? Now, fast forward to after he takes it (hypothetical of course). You are saying he will use it in a demo derby after he hangs q. panels on it? Oh, and I am sure the derby is not too far away, so he will basically steal your car, fix it up at a place I am sure you know of and then derby it while you are in the stands?

Is that about right?

Yea, he came out to visit me for alittle while.. and then we got talking about the charger well he did really by starting off with "Why don't you give me the charger for a demo car? it would be nice to see it in black primer" and then when I ask him why does each car he looks at he thinks of demo cars for and he said "Someday it's going to turn up missing when your not here". Well I got my neighbors that keeps an eye on my place all the time and some does my one other cousin (he's 65 years old and vetnam soldier  :icon_smile_wink:). Yea it would probably be him be the one to take it because he said the same thing about the tools before also. I know him alittle also as we grew up sense we was kids and yes he would be the type to weld skins on the rear and really demo it. The closes derby track is like 20 miles away maybe alittle more. I know of afew places he can fix it up at. Would he demo it with me in the stands? Yea he probably would as he wouldn't care that much long as he could run it.

On the bright side I have alot of friends that always talks to me about the car and ask how it's coming along and they know it's not for sale and that I wouldn't get red of it either.. so I'm sure if it went missing and they started asking and found out he by chance just came up with a charger and he had no title to it.. I'm sure they would put 2 and 2 togother  and I would hear about it. Plus I also mark the car in afew places and different ways also. I won't say where as all I would have to do is just look at the car. Plus afew close friends of mine KNOWS where one mark is located at also  and all they would have to do is just see that mark and know something is wrong (if the car was some place else) and come to me.

I told him what my cousin said last week to me about my charger and I didn't take it to kindly at all.. he said he heard some stuff also from my cousin that he was only joking about taking the car. He said that he had to I guess swing by my cousin's place this evening anyways to get afew parts from him. Stuff like that about takings a person car is nothing to joke about in my book.
