Is there any way to identify a cam with it's cast numbers?  I pulled mine from my 318 last night and it doesn't look 40 years old.  It looks almost brand new.  Toward the front between the lobes it reads C4 CWC on one side and D4 K57 on the other.  Near the back gear it reads A4 on one side and 12 on the other.  Don'k know why I want to know, just do.

It would be more fun to use a degree wheel and dial indicator to spec the cam then back it into a catalog.

Boy, I'm already navel-gazing today.
