Congrats Cody! I bet you can get good deal on Mopar parts. I know when I worked at a GM dealership, I was able to buy parts 10% over cost.   :2thumbs:

I worked from 1-8pm today. I work the same shift tomorrow and Wednesday. The lot guys are me, Ben and another guy. The other guy is getting fired tomorrow cause he apperentley sits around all day. I played Grand Cherokee shuffle today....had to move 10 of them  I quite liked driving new things and new experiences like back-up cameras, remote starts, HEMI Cherokees (who knew) and stuff like that. Ben leaves at 5:30pm and then the lot is all mine. We did a lot today so who knows what'll happen tomorrow. I must say I LOVE MY JOB. The manager told me he's glad he hired me. :) Thanks everybody for the regards and comments :2thumbs:

It's even more fun then.  Charging batteries, sweeping off the snow and stuff to get them ready for the day.  It's a very important job and I know you'll take it seriously.  It's the exact same job I started out doing at Fairfax Chrysler Plymouth World.
Bottom line is it is fun and it's fun all the time.  Not many people get the opportunity to experience new iron right from the factory. The smells, the new gadgets, etc... :2thumbs: :2thumbs:
Obviously be respectful of the vehicles, extremely careful when you drive them, and take care not to abuse them. I know you know this already but thought I'd reiterate.
Also, exactly as was said by BakerP.  Be proud of it, stay motivated, treat the people you work for with the utmost respect.  You represent the dealer and Chrysler now and people see you when they come on that lot.
Way to go brother, I'm very happy for you.
You're on your way.

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

just dont take out the viper for a test drive and wrap it around a telephone pole...  yes, it happened.

Like everyone said.

This job is very important through the anonymous "eyes of the customer".  :scope:

It has high visibility with other managers who will begin to recognize and rely on your maturity, eagerness, and work ethic.  :yesnod:

Lot's of kids don't make it very long at this gig. Be the exception to the rule, and then you'll get promoted...and possibly work in other departments and learn the entire business operation.  :2thumbs:

Your enthusiasm should be contagious to whomever you meet.  Make the right impressions and, .....hopefully,  you'll be "movin' on up" fast!  :nixon:

The manager told me to slow down and take it easy today. He said I was working too hard and he dosen't want me killing myself.... :P He also said he's glad I got hired :)

Well done young man on starting your working life.
The fact that the management know that you have two classic cars will stand you in good stead as a car guy, head and shoulders above the other teenagers that just do playstation games.
Respect their vehicles and the guys that run the operation and make it tick. Good luck and stick at it

 Good for You Cody!
I allways figgured with your love of MOPARs a job in a shop or dealership would be a natural for you.
I'm proud of you hanging in and being persistent with things,.. your Plymouth is looking mighty fine and now you have a J.O.B.
Might i suggest a Credit Union with higher interest savings account, and bank as much as possible. Your doing fine and sure have come along way! beware plastic and be careful to build your credit it will pay off down the line when you get into significantly more high dollar concerns.
I really like those new GCs I'd drive one... I hear there's an SRT version coming out soon.
                                                 :2thumbs:

Dodge Don

You should not beware plastic....just don't spend what you don't have.

Find out how long the dealership has existed.....if it was around back in late 60s early 70s see if you can find out where all the old paperwork went. Imagine finding that gold mine.

I know... I feel like he's my kid sometimes the way we all got to watch him grow up on the screen right in front of us...  cody, stick with the "don't get married before 30" policy and you will do fine.

I made it to 40 before I got the right one. We're still not married.  :D

Have fun at work, but don't burn out by going too fast. Attention to detail and a timely finish is the path to moving up.
