what is this large hole for?

Hi working on a 69 charger dash and some parts are missing. what is this large hole under the dash pad for? rear defoger?  lower hole is speaker fader, middle hole is reverse light but I don't know what the top hole is for.picture inclosed. thanks Steve

think Rear defogger      only on the instrument  cluster on a 68

radio fader in the hole on the very bottom. the hole next to the heater control location is for rear def.

If it is the big hole next to the heater controls, it's for rear defogger IIRC..

oh, sorry, i was confused. I though we were talking about the enlongated hole just right above of the reverse light hole. I see now thats for the pad attachment

yes, the LAAAAREGE hole on top section is rear deffog. On convert cars is for the top. Same switch but reversed
