I bought an overpriced legally imported and registered car from NSW and I can't register it here in SA because it has a red radio knob instead of a blue one

This is true; however, the regulations say "no VISIBLE aftermarket radio". So get a radio delete plate and put a new stereo in the glove box.
Make it idiot proof, and somebody will make a better idiot!

They are getting some weird import laws lately. i've heard of cars being turned down because it had non-factory rims.

Well, I'm sick of all the criticism I am getting for the RHD conversion!

I am so over it at the moment, that I considered crushing the thing. But, after a few deep breaths, I thought it through and thought "Stuff you all". I am now going down a different path with the Charger rebuild.....see the photo!

lots of work to get it down to one headlight and no roof. remember to stiffen the frame. plus you can make some money on all the extra parts you wont be needing now. :smilielol:

just keep the  build moving along. :yesnod:

Not yet. I am working on the firewall and floor pans at the moment. The rear quarter panels are lower on the priority list

With all the criticism why not make it a dual control vehicle? Then it satisfies everyone   :yesnod:

Darkman

Nah, I'll convert it to RHD, drive the shit out of it, enjoy it every day and then a big :fu: to all the purists who criticised me.

The car at the moment is infuriating me because of the way it was built. At least I have the power to change it all and make it better.

I guess I will calm down a little once the conversion is done and functional

Pretty full on making a new firewall. One of the guys here in SA converted his and didn't seem to have to go through that trouble.
