The main reason for the dark colour is the chrome. The interior colour has not been settled yet and probably won't be until after the car is painted. This way I can get some samples of material and see which will suit better. The usual suspect (black) would be good, but a light interior (such as tan - like yours) would suit nicely too.

I bought an overpriced legally imported and registered car from NSW and I can't register it here in SA because it has a red radio knob instead of a blue one

This is true; however, the regulations say "no VISIBLE aftermarket radio". So get a radio delete plate and put a new stereo in the glove box.

They are getting some weird import laws lately. i've heard of cars being turned down because it had non-factory rims.
I had the Regency Park blokes not going to pass mine bcoz of electronic ignition and he said if I mount it under the air cleaner rear of carby he will turn a blind eye as long as 4 little items were rectified (orange front indicator globes were his biggest concern)... Took it back and true to his word passed mine with electronic ignition. This guy was human after all but they are bloody strict here in S.A.

Yes there are. There are also too many tourists.........do I need to say more?  In order to put pedal to metal I first have to get out of the hills. Went cruising through the Yarra Valley today........open roads and magic scenery. Wife was getting whiplash trying to enjoy it.......I was going to fast!     I told her she'd be fine if she just looks straight ahead.
