locking gas cap under flip top cap??

heard through the grapevine that they made a special small locking gas cap to fit under the main flip top cap, is this true??
or do regular locking gas caps of that era fit under the cap??

reason i'm asking is the braces for the tona wing are going to take out the entire fuel door system in the 1st gen and i'm relocating it to the trunk lid.  i want to make it fully functional with a flip top cap but worried that if it leaks fumes into the trunk it'lll blow up as soon as i hit the remote trunk release (yes i have to take out the stock trunk lock system also, this is just growing and growing and growing...............

Yes, the 2nd generation Chargers had a locking gas cap option. I had it on a couple of my past Chargers.. They can be problematic sometimes though on the older units with wear-n-tear...

put a little oil in the key hole, it makes quite a difference, at least on mine

They were reproducing them a couple of years ago. There was a group buy going here. I got mine then. Can't remember who arranged it sorry.

NOS is nice, turbo's are neat, but when it comes to Mopars, there's no need to cheat...

They don't "seal" the tank the cap does that, it won't help with fumes, just keep someone from getting a tube in there. (If they really want your gas they will punch a hole in your tank!)   :eek2:

I can't speak for their other products but Laysons locking gas cap is amazing. The drop in lock has worked great for me, no more stolen gas. Still feel bad for the bastard who stole my leaded fuel  :smilielol:.

I am looking into getting one of these more & more now days. Several times this year at cruise nights or car shows I walk back up to my car & I notice my gas cap is popped open. I don't know if someone is dropping anything in my tank or not. Scary deal.
