i'm on vacation in destin and this car is for sale nearby, was curious about it but i noticed some things underneath the car. not sure if it's "too much" to do or just "a little work", know what i mean?

i need the experts here to give me some education.

i have a friend back home that's interested in it but he's only seen the craiglist pics, which don't show under the car.

The link said bidding has ended for this item. It may not matter anymore I guess. I see the clip of him laying a little rubber and would just keep looking as 13K is good money and could get a 440 powered car. The RB car may need more work for that price but the end result will worth it. In the fun factor and resale if that needs to happen.

it didn't sell and he's still posting the car on different craiglists. car does look fun in a restore-while-you-drive way. that's how i've bought all the cars i've had through the years.

currently doing that with my 69, all of a sudden a lot of stuff started not working and half-assed older restoration starting to show/come through. the gremlins have come out!

That car has been for sale on Craigslist and ebay for the majority of the summer. Im no expert but I have been looking at them for a while too.

It's a quick respray as noted by the blue painted door and trunk hardware. The trunk replacement looks kinda low quality. Their is some weird stuff going on with the carpet around the console and the aftermarket radio install looks messy. Dents in the bumper.

I personally don't like it all that much. Think you could do better. Did you have a camera that you could grab a bunch of higher quality pics for everyone to check out?

looks like the car has had lower or complete rear quarters , & some generic made up inner lowers also , had trunk floor , , done know if that's under seal on the passanger side rear frame rail , next to the spring shackle or holes (rot) :scratchchin:

That was the first 68 I was negotiating to buy months ago. The guy wanted nearly $15k for it and wouldn't budge. You can see why it is still being advertised!

not that i'm an expert or anything but from already having owned a 73 and 2 69s and constantly watching the market, 15k is a lot. every few weeks/months he slightly lowers the price, in some craiglists he has it for 13900, in others it's 14900, etc.

68's seem to go for less than 69s too, in similar condition. damn people turning them into general lees......kidding, kidding.

my first 69 i got for 8k and it was running. looked like a junkyard find (specially being can-spray painted orange all sloppy-drunk) but it was structurally and mechanically sound and ran like a champ. most of the work that went into that one was body work and AMD parts.
